National Affairs correspondent for Canwest News Service, blogger “On the Hill,” new media expert

Gemini Award-winner David Akin is National Affairs Correspondent for Canwest News Service, based in Canwest’s parliamentary bureau in Ottawa. He is also a frequent contributor to Global National with Kevin Newman. Akin was a member of the inaugural staff of National Post and has held staff positions for CTV National News with Lloyd Robertson, The Globe and Mail and several other newspapers. Akin has published a blog, “On the Hill”, since 2003 at davidakin.blogware.com. A Montrealer by birth, Akin studied history at the University of Guelph. He and his family live in Stittsville, Ont.
