Northwest Territories
The right to obtain access to the records maintained by the Government of the Northwest Territories and its boards and agencies is provided for in the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act
http://www.canlii.org/nt/laws/sta/1994c.20/20080515/whole.html
Under this Act, you have a right of access to any record in the custody or under the control of a public body, subject to limited and specific exceptions. Every public body employs an individual who is responsible for reviewing access to information requests and responding to them. The list of those responsible as well as other information about how to make an access request can be found at :
http://www.justice.gov.nt.ca/ATIPP/atipp.htm
If you have any issues with a response from a public body/custodian/organization to your access request, you may write to the Commissioner and ask for a review. The Commissioner is an officer of the Legislature and is independent of government. The Commissioner will conduct a review will make recommendations to the head of the public body as to whether or not the disclosure was adequate. The head of the public body will then make a final decision about what records to disclose. That decision can be appealed to the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories.
